
If you can’t remember your user ID at all, or if you’ve lost access to the phone number or email you used to sign up, you may be able to recover your account by submitting a request to Instagram’s support staff.
Submit a help request if you can’t reset your password. Follow the instructions in the message to create a new password for your account. You should receive a text message or email with a password reset link. Enter the username, phone number, or email address you used to sign up, then tap Next. On the iPhone app, select Forgot password?, then select either Username or Phone. Enter your username or the email or phone number you used to sign up for Instagram, or tap Log in with Facebook. If you’re using the app on Android, tap Get help logging in. Follow the prompts to have a link sent to your phone or email where you can choose a new password. How to temporarily disable your Instagram account Enter your password and click Permanently delete my account. Enter a reason for why you’re leaving Instagram. Head to Instagram’s delete account page on a Mac or PC and log in. We’ve also included how to temporarily disable your account below.
